I can't help you, your rec. would have to have multiple optical inputs. You couldn't use a splitter since they both devices use the same spectrum. What you need is a switch. Much like a A/B switch. I bet you could find such an device at a high end audio store.

I hear that the same spammer who offers $12 cable descrambling plans will sell you a set of plans for an optical switch.
