Just got back from a WAR with the mercedes dealer. Well MOT installed all the new CDMA starTac phoens wiht a defective power amp and it burned out. The starTac handset was ok, but the carkit was crap. then I got into it wiht them because the handset in the car is not type approved by Airtouch. Seems MOT sold them a bill of goods on this one as well. "PUt in the latest one wiht internet, etc....and show your customers how good the thing is...". trouble is that nobody will fix the damm thing until it is type approved, nor will they entertain that someones is not living up to a service contract. I got about $200 worth of dropped calls and both are pointing fingers at each other. What this has done is piss off virtually every Mercedes owner who has it. I now know of 5 who have this same opinion of MOT. So MOT took alot from QCOM, but seems they delivered CRAP to do it. So, is Chris Galvin more interested in his golf score or the quality and customer satisfaction numbers? Hope he someday gets his priority striaght and goes and persues whichever one it is....
