A tip that some may find useful:

011700 TO PREVENT CRASHES, REBOOT YOUR SYSTEM DAILY

A CyberTip reader wants to know if there is anything wrong
with leaving his computer on all the time.

Aside from adding to your electric bill, leaving your PC
powered up continuously can make Windows unstable. Every
time you open and close a program, little bits of memory
are used up and are not cleared out completely. You may get
an "out of resources" error or your PC may just crash.

If you must leave your PC on all the time (for example, if
it doubles as a Web server), then you should reboot your PC
once a day. This clears your computer's memory and prevents
crashes due to "out of resources" errors.
