Re: "If Intel would just accept AMD's existence and end their mindless paranoid price cutting, we would all be much better off."

May I remind you that it is AMD who is undercutting Intel's prices. If Intel lowers prices it is simply in response to AMD's price war. You know, the one you guys want to pretend doesn't exist.

SCUMbria - Re: "Isn't it interesting that during the one quarter where Intel was unable to wage their scorched earth policy against AMD, both companies did extremely well. If Intel would just accept AMD's existence and end their mindless paranoid price cutting, we would all be much better off."

Competition is GOOD !!!!

Competition is GREAT !!!!

Competition helps EVERYBODY !!!!

You seem to be afraid of a little competition.

AMD will have to keep up with Intel or get out of the way !

Consumers throughout the world owe Intel a DEBT of GRATITUDE - breaking the HIGH PRICE BARRIER that AMD has artificially imposed on everyone.

Scumbria,

Intel's margins on CuMine are super. And given their current strength in the laptop side, Intel will probably mount a super aggressive campaign to move a good chunk of the corporate purchasing to laptops from desktops.
