Its about average around here.

But talking percentages, over 10% wealth transfer from the poor to the rich is not ok with me. Its gross, even. How can you defend this?

That may be true, but SS is a regressive tax. Instead of the RISKY TAX SCHEMES proposed by the Clinton Admin to increase the EIC to help offset , it would be simpler & fairer to reduce the rate across the board and means test the recipients.....
