As for it using only one watt, IDT makes MIPS clones that use less than a watt of power and I believe versions of Intel's Strongarm are in that ballpark.

There are many embedded designs which run around one watt. MIPS, PPC, HItachi, ARM, Geode, etc. Consider National's Geode which runs x86 native and includes a complete SOC. How will the Transmeta thingy compete against that? Intel will soon have their own SOC x86 design as well.
