Skeeter, if the entire tech world were held to the standards of a T-bill, your real estate portfolio will
bite the dust (people can't overpay for real estate unless they are made rich by stocks). Bugs get
squashed--consider a move up the food chain.

I tried telling him that. I told him if every business is dissolved and proceeds invested in T-bills, the dollar wouldn't worh anything and hence the T-bills and the income derived from it. My dad's retirement was entirely in bonds (and the like) in Indian Rupees. When they devalued the currency, 30% of his assets vaporized in a day. He has not seen that, I guess.

Skeeter, if the entire tech world were held to the standards of a T-bill (ie, rational investing based upon a comparison of all alternative investments), your real estate portfolio will bite the dust (people can't overpay for real estate unless they are made rich by stocks). Bugs get squashed--consider a move up the food chain. (i expect a readjusting of the current asset inflation that has hit the real estate markets.).
