Question: Since this board seems to be mainly technical and production capacity oriented:

Why are folks so interested (or still pursue) "past" technology such as anything below the 750mhz level (except for reasons of revenue)?

Maybe I just have a unique perspective that the latest and greatest is really where its at (e.g. the 1ghz Athlon and up). I'm not a true technophile, just a real gadget lover and MUST have the latest & greatest hardware/software/gadgetry. I don't imply I know about this stuff like some of you. So even though my question is a matter of perspective, I'm interested in other's opinions.

Also, can one even buy a 900mhz or 1ghz yet? And, is there a link to Dresden info?

Thanks.

BTW: Even with many folks disagreeing with each other here (and I'll admit - sometimes after reading their posts I STILL don't know which camp they're in!!!), this is one of the more mature boards I've ever seen on SI of this size and number of posts. So far that is :) WOW!!!! What a refreshing change!!
