I agree, Bill, with the thrust of that argument. Let's look at the recent "discussion" I had. In none of my posts will one find that I said I either agreed or disagreed with the ideas that Social Security should be means tested, that the senior citizen "voting bloc" has considerable political clout, or that Social Security needed change.

It was assumed,by others (not you), that, because I pointed out that the supposed facts were unsourced or unsubstantiated, the assertions misleading, and the research sloppy, I disagreed. I just think that it is important to establish a solid framework when advancing such an argument. When that framework suffers from structural defects, the argument deteriorates with great speed. Just an opinion, of course.

Now, I really must leave.
