Beyond.com Selected as Online Reseller for Red Hat; Beyond.com to Focus on Government and B2B Markets


SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 18, 2000--Internet software superstore Beyond.com(TM) (Nasdaq:BYND) today announced that it has been selected by Red Hat (Nasdaq:RHAT) as a value-added reseller for Red Hat Linux software and services. Beyond.com is the first Red Hat certified reseller to provide Linux software and services to the U.S. government.

Under terms of the agreement, Beyond.com has the right to merchandise Red Hat Linux software and services to all business segments, particularly the business-to-government and business-to-business (B2B) segments. The partnership brings together Beyond.com's expertise and leadership in Internet-based software delivery and service, and Red Hat's expertise in open source software and solutions.
