Now that is a screw up Lola! Shorting instead of buying on an account that isn't even allowed to short! <ggggg>... I wonder what they would have done if you would have threatened to report them to certain authorities??? Just based on the fact that they did a short using your account when you hadn't authorized your account for that purpose!

Anyways... I just got off the phone with Investorline... and it appears that they were "innocent"... (well... not completely IMO... but at least there is a plausible excuse)

Apparantly (according to Investorline), stocks that are trading under $1.00 still trade in board lots of 500 shares for the remainder of the day when they go above $1 in the middle of the day. It might even happen if the stock dips below a $1 in the middle of the day (that they would switch back to 500 share board lots for the rest of the day)...

So there we have it... we learn something new (and screwy) every day!
