Uh- this 'Jini business' statement is inconsistant with your previous statements regarding Jini. Suddenly Jini is a valid revenue generator because M$'s Plug and Pray has gotten a development mention?

twister- If you roll the tape back to Scotty's Comdex stand-up you'll hear him evangelizing "...Jini and Jini like" devices in the same breath, in the same talking point with open standards. Really. Go back and check it out. Maybe in this context, you can see that Scotty knew about GE bringing Plug and Pray along before M$ did.

Anyway, the bottom line for us here on the thread is that now Jini is valid and an accepted Sun revenue stream by twister. <g>

SUNW has "virtual" open standards. They want to appear to be open while retaining the absolute control.
