I'm a climber, on a VERY small scale. Mostly I love reading every climbing book I can find. Wa. State is loaded with folks like
me.


I did read the book "Up into thin air" I believe that was the title and we have a movie about it too. That is about as close as I come to knowing anything about this.

We climb here every day but not cliffs or anything like that. I was thinking about the people on the cycles doing deliveries around here. They would all quit;-)

Eugene- I thought Anatoli Boukreev's account of the Everest disaster ("The Climb") was very interesting. I guess he was either a hero or villian, depending on your perspective.
