John, I couldn't agree with you more. For those who can't read my profile, I am 65 years old. The only thing "early" about my retirement is the fact that I am well able to continue to earn a good salary if I wanted to at my current occupation. I have been planning a date for retirement for nearly a year, well before I found this thread.

It takes lots of money to live a long and comfortable retirement, especially if you start that retirement young. john, as usual you cut to the quick and provide excellent mature insight. i agree with every word you said. i always do even though i sold armhy too soon. uw
