Well, actually I think the repubs spend too much too. They are complicit with dems in a scheme to confiscate the money of hard working Americans. The difference is that repubs want to take less than dems (but still too much).

I don't think SS will be scrapped. I think it will start running out of money and congress will raise taxes to cover the shortfall. This won't happen until after Bush is out of office. Of course if Gore wins, it could happen sooner.
