<I always wondered how much money one could get out of a 7-11. >

One issue is location. In some neighborhoods, no banks or jewelry stores can be found for miles. However, a 7-11 is often
within a few blocks....

ps. Wouldn't feel too safe being a bank teller either.

This brings up an issue of technology. I suspect you can't recall the last time you heard of a bank or any business of decent size that was wiped out during the night. Once our security systems are set, I can't imagine how anyone could bypass them. That is the same with a bank. Vulnerablity is during open hours. The insurance company charges me far less for burglary insurance than for robbery even though the risk of a total cleanout during a burglarly is much higher. The risk of a burglary to occur is almost nil.

It is my opinion that the employee at a 7-11 has more risk particularly if he or she works the night shift. Not many people around. The amount of money is not that great but people kill for very little these days. The item the robbers want is cash and there is bound to be some.
