Saturn V, ...If Dell cannot handle it, then obviously IBM/HP etc get a breather. So they may sell what I call the plain vanilla Intel chipset
based system, but IBM/HP provide the customer support, consulting, and design and install the server/computer
configuration. So IBM/ HP become the service and selling organizations, integrating the commodity building blocks bought
from either Intel,Taiwan, or other white box manufacturer with the needed reliability and stability. That is a third option to the
computer landscape I described.

That is another scenario that could work. Nowadays in high tech, everybody is partnering with everybody, it seems. So, Dell relies on a "big brother" with more overall systems experience, for the systems integration and customer services parts. Still seems like the chickens are trying to dance with the elephants, though. Gotta find out real soon which you are!
