Doesn't look like Tyco's such a "pure play" as GBLX is in the telecomm business. Looks like their recent undersea fiber optic plans might be just another feather in their cap:

Tyco International Ltd. is a diversified manufacturing and service company. The Disposable and Specialty Products segment manufactures products used in packaging including polyethylene films, laminated and coated products and disposable medical products. The ADT Automotive subsidiary conducts vehicle auctions. Inbrand, a manufacturer of disposable, absorbent products serving adult incontinence, feminine hygiene and infant diaper needs also is part of this segment. The Fire and Security Services unit designs, manufactures, installs and services fire detection, suppression and sprinkler systems and electronic security services. The Flow Control Products segment manufactures and distributes flow control products including pipe, fittings, valves and meters. The Electrical and Electronic Components segment manufactures products such as undersea fiber optic cable for telecommunications, multi-layer printed circuit boards for telecommunications, military and computer applications.
