Communications at RSA 2000 Conference

DST Teams with Diversinet and Research In Motion

To Put the Power of PKI in the Palm of the Hand

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Signature Trust Co.
(DST), an affiliate of Zions Bancorporation (Nasdaq: ZION) and the first
licensed certification authority (CA) in the United States, will demonstrate
secure wireless e-mail at the RSA 2000 Conference this week in San Jose,
Calif. (Booth #1110).

Using the BlackBerry(TM) wireless handheld from Research In Motion Limited
(Nasdaq: RIMM) (Toronto: RIM), integrated with Diversinet Corp.'s (Nasdaq:
DVNT) (CDN: DVNT) client/server security solutions, DST will demonstrate
elliptic-curve Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to encrypt the wireless
message. Elliptic-curve public key cryptography provides a much smaller key
size and faster compute times compared to RSA cryptography, which is commonly
used in desktop security, making it a much more compatible method for small,
hand-held devices.

"We believe this to be the first-ever demonstration of end-to-end wireless
communication in a PKI-based secure environment," said Scott Lowry, president
and chief executive officer of DST. "Having gotten over the technological
hurdle of providing wireless, mobile e-mail, the next big question has been
how to secure the communication. We have the solution."

Also at its RSA 2000 booth, DST will offer conference-goers free
authenticated digital certificates on a variety of secure hardware devices,
including smart cards and USB Tokens. These DST-issued certificates carry a
full one-year validity and robust authentication for identifying a person in
an electronic transaction.
