I took a trading course in California recently. A guy brought in 370,000 dollars (reportedly had worked as broker at ML). Word is he shorted I believe UBID and his 370,000 was history (and then some) in less then 72 hours...that could ruin your day.

LOL! Great response, Martin. I've got a feeling this lesson about shorting i-nets has been indelibly burned into us all. It's the psychological baggage we carry into these trades, (ie. EBAY's a gas-filled tulip that MUST be brought down) that's so seductive and dangerous.
