I'm running it again, 14 neurons (now that I'm at home with my registered copy :), same inputs, training 19960201->19990802, verify 19990903->20000114

So far it looks even better...

I'm still not sure I understand why it can't post trade reports for the last two weeks. Seems a bit odd, unless it was using forward looking data to make the trades, which I hope isn't the case.

(edit) Doesn't look much better than Buy&Hold for AOL though.

(edit) Interesting, it's getting worse now. I wonder if that's the addition of the two neurons, or giving it more initial data. I didn't give it so much the first time because I felt that AOLs trading characteristics had changed in late 1997/1998. Interesting.

(edit) last edit: does anyone know how to get it to generate short sell signals as well as buy/sell signals?
