Even if there is a slight drop, and I don't think there will be, it will rebound quickly during the day. The stock has shot up after the last few acquisitions because they were immediately recognized as being highly strategic by analysts. Not withstanding the number crunching, I believe this is another of one of those gems of an acquisition.

Let's see what tomorrow brings.

To all - here is the Hoover's Online capsule for E-Tek.

(I had never heard of it, despite being a JDSU shareholder).

hoovers.com

E-Tek Dynamics is helping communication networks light
up. The company makes passive components used in
fiber-optic networks to route and guide light. Its products
include optical isolators, filters, couplers, and wavelength
division multiplexing products (which allow optical fiber to
carry more data and graphic and voice information without
requiring more lines). Alcatel, Pirelli, and Corning (each a
major player in the growing fiber-optic communications
industry) together account for about 60% of E-Tek's sales.
Silicon Valley venture capital firm Summit Partners owns
43% of E-Tek, and wife-and-husband team Theresa and J.
J. Pan, Chinese immigrants who founded the company in
1983, own about 33%.
