Re: JDSU acquisition of ETEK for $15 billion. See my post #18797. Now you know what I was talking about in that post. One caveat for newbies to JDSU and the acquisition game: since JDSU is paying a steep (and, IMHO, entirely justifiable)premium for ETEK, there will be the usual arbitrage games, which may initially cause steep drop in JDSU. If so, BUY! BUY! BUY! JDSU. Any sell-off will be short-lived, and you will have acquired shares in the new 800-lb gorilla of the fiber-optic telecommunications sector.
