EXPECTATIONS NEVER FULFILLED..
the fact that he was semi-successful the first
3 years did not sit well with the fans for the
failures the last 3 years, that is for sure..
i watch chicago football on satellite during those
years, you guys had the third down and 8 failures
that were a trademark down here during the late 80's and early 90's for our defense..
draft picks busts-
alonzo speillmann
john theory
walt harris
rasham salaam

players that any team out of college would have drafted..
these were not looked at as long shots..
free agent-bryan cox when he starts losing he becomes a big cancer,
excellent player but can seperate people by finger pointing them out as failures, but if i remember the collapse really became evident when eric kramer had the serious neck injury...he is ugly but was very efficient as a quarterback...but chicago never replaced their free agents,it is easy to finger point but they tried to replace talent with draft picks...carrier,armstrong,can not think of the corner(#24),
when you live or die on the draft and do not sign free agent talent, then for the most part you do become a 3 year stint team because then players become free agents and leave...hope they do not lose guys like brad minter soon because these guys are hard to replace through the draft..
