If you feel alot of pressure to re-enter the market, it's probably a bad time to do so. You want to re-enter the market when you feel alot of pressure to exit the market. At least that's how it usually works.

Someone mentioned that the markets were performing much better on thursdays and fridays. I was curious, so I did a little historical study on the weekly trend going back to the October lows.

Out of the last 13 weeks- basis the SPX:
Average change (points)
Mon -2.1
Tue -9.1
Wed +7.5
Thur +11.0
Fri +12.0

Market was down on only 1 of 12 thursdays, 1 of 12 fridays, and just 3 of 13 wednesdays.

Mondays and Tuesdays, however were down 8 and 9 of 13 times.

Conclusion: Buy on tuesdays near close, sell on fridays near close.

Regards,
TW
