yes, things sure look HOPELESS at wintel inc. (intc and msft).

There is no Wintel Inc. You rant about fundamentals. At least we have a company that actually *exists.

You know, for a few years now, we've watched you talk about past performance without the slightest CLUE about the future landscape. Your 'guys' are (as warned) running smack into the open standards (unix) network and hardware paradigm without open standards -or- hardware (apart from the end user joystick).

You may want to keep an eye on that INTC. Your guys could dry up and blow away and INTC wouldn't miss them at this point. In the 'PC plussed' era, INTC has a more dynamic relationship with Sun than M$. Do you not understand that?
