James This is very serious... Do you not believe that Jesus taught men to obey the Ten Commandments ??? RE>>I am just frustrated that you would pull this on me.<< I am not trying to PULL anything on anyone. Jesus did not come to legalize sin. If you think that is the GOOD NEWS then you are very sadly mistaken. I am not preaching "another" Gospel. Jesus came to save men from the "Condemnation of the Law." We have all sinned and therefore fall short of the Glory of God and therefore need a Redeemer to save us from our Guilt! Jesus never taught contrary to the Ten Commandments nor the Sabbath nor the Tithe James. You are in very "chronic" spiritual state if you think that way. I can show you what I am saying is taught in the Bible if you will set aside your defenses and listen with an open ear if not you WILL harden yourself against me and refuse to hear the truth. Do you believe that anyone should break the First Commandment James and have other gods before Jesus the Christ?? That is the first commandment.. when would Jesus ever change that?? How about bowing to Idols... I know you do not think that Jesus came so we could now bow to Idols. That is the second commandment.. You do not and can not bear to hear men use God name or the Name of Jesus in vain or as a curse.. That is the third commandment.. Do you think that men should work 7 days a week and never congregate as a body of believers... should we be so carried away with the things of this world that we cannot cease from our seeking those thing for even one day out of 7 to be with the Lord that we love and the brothers God has given us in the Lord's Supper and prayer and singing the Psalms?? That is the fourth commandment.. Where is it you disagree with God about His Holy Law. Do you want to kill or steal or covet or commit adultery ??? What is the problem James?? Is it being a part of a local Church body?? I am not preaching anything that is not and has not been accepted as the true gospel for 2000 years now. I am not bearing False witness.. That is the nine commandment.. Look at Jesus speaking to the pharisees who knew the Law but lacked the Mercy and Forgiveness that Christ has called us to : Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Do you see James what Jesus said.... === these ought ye to have done === Jesus did not say FORGET TITHING but Jesus did say YES you ought to tithe but that is not the wieghtier matters of the LAW People today do not realize that the Law of God is LOVE and MERCY and RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT which men have and always will be called to but Jesus did not say " Oh forget about that silly tithing thing " Look at what Jesus said to the Rich Young Ruler: Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. 19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. Jesus is quoting the Ten Commandments. I do not know what you think Jesus came to earth to do but it was not to destroy His Holy Moral Law. I greatly fear for men who are offended by the Ten Commandments if that is what you are offend at. Perhaps I am not understanding you.. Do you not know that God expects His sons to keep the Ten Commandments as best they can??? And if they fail we have this comfort: 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. James who first gave us God's Law in saying thou shalt love the Lord your God with all your heart and your neighbour as yourself ??? ======= MOSES ======== A man saved by God's Grace !! Deuteronomy 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD. Deuteronomy 10:19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. I am not dividing the Bible wrongly... It is not a matter of out with the Old Testament in with the NEW !! If it was that easy then there would be less confusion. James you are not the only one who is disappointed to discover such a wide difference between us as I have felt akin to you. I know I am not wrong .. I do not want to belabour this post but I do pray that you will patiently hear me out concerning these things... Perhaps the TEN COMMANDMENTS would be a good place to start if you do not believe we are called to obey them. I don't know maybe I'm mixing things up so if you would tell me plainly what you think I am saying that is wrong or DEAD RELIGION please let me know.. I see the whole New Testament teaching that we have forgiveness of sins unto obedience of God's Law. There are only two kinds of people in this world: The saved and the unsaved The elect and the reprobate The children of the day and the children of the night The children of obedience and the children of wrath. I am confused as to what you believe James or do I hear you rightly thinking that the Law of God has no place in the life of those saved by Grace??? Please let me know.. this is disturbing to me.
