Alibaba, Softbank Jointly Develop Multi-lingual E-Commerce Website

Alibaba.com Corporation announced that it has reached an agreement with Softbank Corporation to develop a multi-lingual e-commerce website that is accessible in Japanese, Korean and several European languages. The consortium, led by Softbank, will initially invest US$20 million in the joint venture, and Softbank is expected to inject more funds into the firm. The project has a great potential to grow, said Softbank's chairman Mr. Masayoshi Son.
