The notch would be coincident.

The author is making conclusions the same way you all are, i.e., "I hear there is a problem with P858, how is the notch responsible ?"

What I suggest you should be asking is "what process feature or parameter is responsible for this condition"?

There are many other features and parameters besides the notch that would be more likely as having an impact on leakage current parameters other than the notch feature.

That's why I get irritated.

And no, I cannot get into a discussion on what those might be, as any such comments might be misconstrued.

Anyway, thank you for obliging me. Also, I would like to see some other reporting on this "problem" from some source other than a tabloid. How come if this is such a problem, the mainstream engineering press hasn't got a hold of it?

BTW, did you know that AMD's .18 transistors leak too? It's a condition called Ioff.
