I know you have been liking bonds lately, but I am at a loss to figure out why. (Even beyond AG committment to the stock market over the bond market. I see he added another 8bil today)
Why would I want to own bonds on companies that are mortgaging by buying stock with debt. Many of the sp500 companies are doing this as you have pointed out. Also, if earnings take a hit,(ie outside chance that business cycle is not dead<g>) or we drop into recession might some of these same companies also take a ratings hit by standard and poors. If that is the case, I would expect even further increases in their cost of money as the risk factor rises. What am I missing about your current like for bonds. (or are you not referring
to corporate bonds) Thanks in advance.
