Looks like you are unaware of this -- "Bob has always been right. Unless of course, when he has been wrong, in which case it is the personal responsibility of the guy who took Bob's advice. Also Bob is not responsible for others' actions, unless the outcome of the action puts Bob in a favorable light" ;-)

"We don't hear much about LU these days either. Imagine that."

In my opinion, this type of comment contributes nothing to the discussion. Furthermore the subtext is inaccurate. Brinker had spoken enthusiastically about LU when it had better value. And, all along, he has indicated that highly favoured companies--with expanded P/Es--were very vulnerable to earnings disapointments. He has also been telling people to keep individual stock risk to 4%. Given all this that Brinker has put out, I can only conclude that your comments were attempts to bate an argument. Perhaps I am wrong. If so, please accept my apology for the incorrect assumption.

On the other hand, I will write that your comments in this post are unwelcome by me. I just looked at the original post laying out the ground rules for this thread. This material does not appear to fit this thread. There are other threads where such comments are acceptable. Perhaps you would be happy to post this sort of material there.

Ciao,
David Todtman
