CGO does well in anticipation of earnings, but this is supposed to be their historical record quarter.. Now last quarter was their best up to then for 3rd quarter and second best in history. Earnings were released on 25th of October at 7:30 a.m. CGO had been up from 19.375 two days prior (on October 21) in anticipation of the report.. On the 25th in the morning there was little price gap up only about 1 1/8 and the stock reached 24.875 that day. It got up until 26 1/4 by October 26. That was a pretty good rise in just 4 sessions. Now it has been more less basing since then trading in a range where 28 was a good resistance and 30 is pretty much a high since last report. I'm looking for 37, the 52 week high and probably higher. This won't happen overnight as CGO is not an internet IPO, but nor will you have to worry (if earnings are good and it looks like it must be) about waking up to a 20% cut in price like in BMCS and some other high flyers. Note the volume increase at the 25th.
