The upstream issue is independent and not very significant currently

Until you start talking to the power users that wanted to use their @Home service for FTP and to be able to send large files back to work. It is the biggest source of complaints from the users that are most likely to want to switch to the service. It has caused some to go to a higher cost DSL service.

Pure is a future technology and isn't yet relevant to ATHM's current circumstance. Pure is a critical issue for MSO and telco. Even with them it isn't imminent.

OK, So we're not worried about orange pull cable anymore, right?

Doesn't mean that MSO might go elsewhere later to have someone else do what ATHM currently is doing.

My point was, how easy is it to replace and why would they do it? Is it a small thing...I think not.
