OT: Don't want to get into an argument but I have read some of Mr. Stotts writings.

My take is that he believes that the planet is a bunch of systems randomly interacting with each other, that we can't begin to understand them, much less control or influence them. As such our massive unlocking/releasing of greenhouse gasses back into the system is merely causing these systems to interact in different ways and are not a cause for concern. We are mere specks in the planetary cycle and are deluding ourselves by thinking we are influencing our environment.

This ignores our record of placing thousands of species of plant and animal life on the extinct list, our record of massively polluting water supplies with toxic chemicals (Love Canal, New York Harbor, many others), changing climactic cycles (rain forest logging), turning vast areas into nuclear wastelands (Chernobyl), etc, etc, etc.

Yeah, we have no impact on our environment. It's turning to crap all on it's own.

IMHO Mr. Stott DEFINITELY has his head in a place where the sun doesn't shine.

I'll shut up now. Even I'm starting to get irritated by my rantings :o)
