Thanks, I understand your point. You were discussing the semi industry. My post #73772 focused on INTC (where I cautioned to separate INTC from other semis whose product mixes may not be optimal).

Thank you, but 50% could be considered an under-achievement in a year where nasdaq did ~85%. Using leaps gives more muscle and leverage to the actual underlying increase. My overall was 2x and 7x's your figure on self-managed pub and pub+priv stks.

I find it interesting to read your posts because they give me an opportunity to see a different strategy. We have different strategies, which isn't to say one is better than another. I can see the merit in your style and the issues you bring forward, which is one of the reasons I enjoy your posts.
