Steve, Chuck, Mani, Gout, Kash, Ted and the rest of the usual suspects: A call to HP online store at 1-888-999-4747 inquiring when I might purchase an Athlon system from them elicited this response: "We have them for sale now at Sam's Club, and we hope to have them here online by February." This (Sam's) was rumoured yesterday on amdzone.com. Talk about your stealth launches! Now the question for those of us playing the game: Do the Street money men already know? They probably don't shop at Sam's. Systems actually on the shelves, from a key OEM, and no announcement. Weird, yes? Is this something that could be announced at the CC? Specific customers are seldom named. Everyone who will be brave enough to hold a significant unhedged option position into the CC please raise your hand, I like to make a tally. Cheers, Vince
