I could believe that Albert discovered that his (Albert's) brain wasn't working. Several others had discovered that earlier, though accurate self-knowledge like that is rare and admirable. Albert's repetitive heh-heh-hehs pretty clearly indicated that some cognitive (and other) problems were enmeshed in them grey cells. Going heh-heh-heh as your lifeboat is sinking is not a good sign. I recall Albert's heh-hehs and his block volume analyses as he consistently proved that up is down and black is white.
