Scot,

<As said before, we really need HP in the retail space, so let's hope we get some movement on the Athlon front.>

Yup, couldn't help noticing that AMD back on top of retail segment. I am happy with HP being there too - assures solid retail market share for AMD for the near future.

My big interest is business though - that would easily double or triple the stock from current levels.

Looking forward to the Corporate space next....

Chuck

P.S.: Microsoft just blew past earnings. Could lift the techs tomorrow.

Scot - RE: "Also, went to CompUSA yesterday and saw the new HP laptops were in stock with the K6-2P chip."

That's faster than the press release made it to be. So how we have HP notebooks, K6-2 desktops, and low-MHz Athlons. Now we wait for higher-MHz systems.

Scot,

I've been too busy to keep up the last couple of days...but did anyone mention the prominent HP ads in Sunday's paper? There were ads in the BB, Circuit City, and Staples circulars for a HP k6-2 machine at 533 or 500 (can't remember).

Here is the link to my post on the AMD ads -

Also, went to CompUSA yesterday and saw the new HP laptops were in stock with the K6-2P chip. These are the retail "value" notebooks. As said before, we really need HP in the retail space, so let's hope we get some movement on the Athlon front.

That's a surprise because I didn't find any of these new models listed on their site other than their press release.
