SGI Appoints Betsy Rafael Chief Financial Officer moneycentral.msn.com January 18, 2000 04:04 PM MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- SGI SGI today announced that Betsy Rafael has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer for the corporation. She succeeds Steve Gomo, who has resigned to pursue another opportunity with a private, non-competing firm. "We are sorry to see Steve leave SGI. During his two-year tenure as CFO, Steve led the company's efforts to strengthen SGI's financial foundation by reducing our expense structure, improving our operational effectiveness and recognizing value on some of the company's underlying assets," said Bob Bishop, chairman and chief executive officer.
