Rogers@HOME 1999 subscriber totals:
Canada's Largest Cable Opp.

Rogers Cable achieved exceptional growth in Rogers@Home, adding 60,300 customers and ending the quarter with 185,700 customers. At Dec. 31, 1999, Cable was able to market its high-speed Internet access to approximately 92 per cent of cable homes passed. In addition, at Dec. 31, 1999, Cable ended the year with 53,600 Digital Choice customers, an increase of 33,900 customers in the quarter.

I'm getting these quotes from Canada-Stockwatch it's a membership site, so i can't post links. If anyone want to verify they are directly from the companies press releases.

Canada's two largest operators: 185,700 from Rogers 185,000 from Shaw Cable = 370,700

Shaw has 1.5 million homes with internet available. So that's 13% penetration of homes possible. However, in Canada 58% of homes have computers of which only 40% have internet access.

Rogers has 2,236,250 Cable subscribers, though i have not yet found how many homes are @HOME capable.

Overall, @HOME is available in over 6 million homes in Canada.

Regards
Jay
