In terms you can understand ...Whisper numbers are just hype...They are relatively new to the market, and are generally created through rumor by people other than the analysts that cover the stock...the numbers that have substance are the analysts projections and actual numbers. Whisper numbers make it very, very difficult for a company to surprise to the upside...which is why so many stocks sell off after great numbers, but miss the all talked about Whisper Number.
