This is very interesting that we broke 1994 elec&NG usage records as the weather in this years time frame, while cold, was nowhere near as cold as the 1994 period.
While temps here have been in the single digits and teens for lows, here are the ones from 1994 (these are from Harrisburg):

01-18-94 -7
01-19-94 -14

01-20-94 -16

01-21-94 -22

I will note that on the Jan 21 1994 I had 29 degrees below 0 measured at my home.

Considering the usage is higher on warmer temps, this confirms a pattern we have seen all year of higher consumption than the avg. temperatures would be expected to indicate.
