Mike, greetings to you and all the good folks on this thread. I've been lurking here for 2+ years. Your wise counsel has had a major impact on my investment strategy.
I've often done well with technology stocks picks, especially software. (I'm a computer programmer). But where I've fallen down (besides often being too early) is risk management. So with what I've learned from your posts and a little more discipline, perhaps I can hold on to the gains I often easily make but, in the past, have always let slip through my fingers.

Can you offer an opinion on what I consider a value software play, RWAV, with offerings in B2B, Java, e-commerce, C++ components etc.? Price to sales is only 2x.
I'm in at $9 for 3 years - a rare display of patience for me. <g> I hope this can become an ANCR-like rise from the ashes (hated by all but a few brave souls) but no red ink here and $3 per share cash.

Apparently Michael Murphy has a buy rec. out on this. Makes
me very nervous, even though he occasionally picks a winner (maybe 1 out of 10).

For my more detailed thoughts follow the links in link below:

Mike:

I love it when a large percentage of "HiTech" income growth comes from investment stock gains. When operating earnings stagnate, (even with "massive buybacks") it would seem that the end is near. Course AG will bailout any calamaties equity holders have so I am not ready to increase bond holdings yet. Getting mighty tempting with some of the closed end funds however.

Different note. I have shed some of my biotech holdings. Still holding GZTR and DRMD and I am looking to add new positions. Are there any you would buy at their current price or would you wait ? You mentioned VASO and HQH (or was it HQL). Also, are you familiar with TGX (theragenics) if so, what do you think of them. thanks

While looking at AllAdvantage which you suggested yesterday, it looks like DSL service will be free also. freedsl.com starts service in April.

OK for INTC, but not for SOFT --

>>REDMOND, Wash.--Shares of Microsoft fell as much as 5.7 percent after sales to businesses were lower than expected and the company said investment gains helped bolster its fiscal second-quarter profit.

To All, Cheapskate Double Dip Alert. HealthShop.com has another coupon, psych15, that gives you $15 off a $15 order. Even better, if you get an odd number like $14.73, as I did, you don't have to add an item. It will take off $14.73. However, you do have to pay $3.95 for shipping. They have some oddball brands, but I can vouch for just about anything by "Kiss My Face," "Jason," and "Toms of Maine."

Michael, I think you're overlooking the possibility that INTC will spin off their low margin business in favor of becoming an incubator. Then INTC will be rewarded with a CMGI like multiple, and then the sky is the limit. -g-
