I said that we have to be prepared for a 50% decline. Exactly what many commentators are saying now. I did not say when it will happen. Nobody can predict how insane the valuations can get. The fact that the index punched through the 10,000 barrier will mean nothing when we return to saner times. In much the same way that the Nikkei punching through 25,000 and 30,000 and 35,000 meant nothing in the years thereafter.

How many remember the Dipy denunciations of Brinker at Dow 7500 for telling people not to be out of the market for even one day due to the extremely favorable position of the timing model? How many remember the overall denunciation of Brinker for his extremely bullish stance at Dow 7500. How many remember Brinker's prediction of a successful test of the Dow 7500 low area which would end the correction of '98. How many profited from the ensuing 50%+ S&P rise and even greater Nasdaq explosion? Dipy has apparently lost his memory on these critical points, but it helps him in his ongoing effort to join the Brinker Bashers who seem to thrive on trashing someone trying to help others. If Dipy likes his Dow 5000 forecast better, let him have it!
