E A Carl, Your insights were right on the money.

Cohu today outperformed the group of LRCX, EGLS, SVGI. And its likely to leave the others in the dust (percentage wise over the next 15 days)

But there is another factor rarely discussed on the these threads. Its the psychology of the semi-companies. As we came out of the bottom about 15 months ago thread discussion centered on valuations, forward PE's, growth rates, and technical advantages of each companies technology vs their competitors.

Since Dec. 1, 1999, concern about valuations has has become ancient history. What we are witnessing is a mania of individuals and funds to get into these stocks. Manias take on a life of their own. By simple or complicated analysis investors have come to the conclusion that this is where they want to be.

Within the next 60 days stocks like EGLS, COHU and SVGI will appreciate more than 30 percent. I believe that I'm conservative in my estimates.

The FED may raise rates but this sector will just shrug it off. The only other choice is to buy some Ford stock, wait for it to rise one point, and then call yourself a winner.

Enough BS for one night. I have to go out, get a beer and figure out how I can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
