<I think's it too sensitive to get a decent response. What's the distortion?>

Your post stated that you thought it was too sensitive to get a decent response and that "They want only happy fluff about AMD." But you only quoted part of my question I went on to ask whether AMD would "...manipulate their numbers as well. Not to make this quarter better but instead to take some of the earnings from this quarter that exceed analyst expectations and push them out so that they can count on them for future quarters and thus build themselves a buffer to get through any possible future tribulations and still make estimates for that quarter." I think This is a different meaning than your abbreviated quote portrayed which is the distortion. Given the full quote, what do you think? If AMD has great earnings this quarter do you think they will try to push some out for a buffer in the future at the cost of moderating this quarters earnings and making them seem like less of a blowout? (This is of course assuming the numbers are that good)

Thanks,

Epinephrine

PS: I don't think the question was too sensitive to get a decent response, I am very satisfied with the answer I got from Charles and I look forward to your answer.
