In the CC they are focusing alot of attention to the ASP market. They seem to be considerably more enthusiastic about it this qtr. To qoute Ed, "The asp model is scoring a home run... and that Ctxs is at the forefront." Though he later cautioned as to when this industry will take off. An interesting statement from the CC: "Ericsson is standardizing on Ctxs metaframe". That seems to dispute the noise last month from Gojo claiming much the same. All in all, it sounds like a pretty good CC.

Certainly good news, although blowout would be a bit strong at a penny over. I'd expect pullback this a.m. in spite of the split.

Interesting to watch the Squawk Box interview. Ed was personable and I was delighted to see that for once he wasn't asked to explain the company or it's products. Focus was on the numbers and product maturity cycles, new partners (Sun) and so forth. I thought he stumbled a bit on the question of Linux impact, saying that while they keep on eye on the space (no mention of Turbo Linux investment), applications will continue to be written mostly for Windows for "a long time to come." That won't win popular reaction IMO.

Report was great, but if I was a new investor, I don't know that I'd be rushing to my terminal this morning to buy. We'll see how the institutional group plays out today. Sell on news dip, up for the rest of the quarter is my guess.

Congrat's to Longs on great results.
