Software publisher Microsoft Corp. led the list of technology and Internet companies reporting better than expected results Tuesday. Those quarterly results, coupled with a report that drug maker Warner-Lambert (WLA) is talking to Procter & Gamble about a merger involving the two companies and American Home Products, will hang over Wall Street as trading begins.
