No reason for Loral to buy LMT sat division. They have lost significant contracts and will be closing areas. They had wanted to move GPS out to the Sunnyvale plant, but changed their minds last year or so. Loral does not need the extra dead weight. SS/L may be running at max capacity but the orders are not there to justify taking on a bunch more capacity. The corporate culture change over would take years before they could produce Loral busses out of LMT facilities. No way is this a good idea. Just wishful thinking on LMT folks. They know a buy out is their only chance at staying there and staying employed. Jeff Vayda
