Any guesses as to where we go from here? I wonder if this was a temporary spike because and institution took a position and now the price will drift down, or could it be that news has leaked out that hasn't become public. I can't recall a spike like this without news to drive it.

Smear, Maybe it isn't too early to start thinking about a split. As a long-termer, though, I'll add it really doesn't matter much to me, except that a split is a confirmation that company brass does believe that they will continue to do well going forward.
